On 1.6. despite the bad forecast we headed to the northern part of the Gailtal Alps. We started the tour in Schuettbach near Spittal - 550m on path 281. Above 1700m we waded through up to 30 cm deep fresh snow. On the ridge above the forest line at 1800m, a cold wind cooled us properly, so it was not suitable for a break on Martennock - 2039m and Goldeck - 2142m. We returned via path 210 and stopped at the Marhube hut and the ruins of Ortenburg castle, known for the settlement of Germans in the Kočevje area. In Unterhaus we finished the tour after a good 9 hours and 1670m ascent. The weather held; it only started raining on the drive home.

On Sunday Romana and I started in Spittal an der Drau. Along the forest road marked 281 we ascended to Goldeck. We descended via 210, also a road, much of it also on an old road similar to a mulattiera.

Don't worry, we live in Klagenfurt. It annoys me though, because I can't go to SLO. Because I still have some work on Olševa. Best regards.

Today with the retirees' group of PD for Selška dolina Železniki to Goldeck. Unfortunately the summit wasn't fated for me, because I had other duties. Via the panoramic road - paid - we arrived at the parking - Seetal - 1883m. The hut at the parking was open. Then along a nice path to Martennock - 2039m, where there is a large cross. Then along the ridge path to the restaurant, which is below the Goldeck summit, and then to the summit itself. I'll go another time. It was great weather, dry path, magnificent views.
