17.2. on Gr. Rosennock - 2440 m, despite a promising forecast, cloudy all day with light snowfall.
From St. Oswald by cable car to Brunnach, then descent to Erlacher H. and ascent to the summit. Return past Erlacher H. via Langalmtal to Kaning.

path to the 270m lower hut Erlacher, soon it will sink to the knees

On the ridge traces of chamois grazing are visible.

Großer Rosennock - Naßbodensee lake - Predigerstuhl

Wonderful loop above Erlacherhütte hut in the Nockberge mountains in Carinthia. A world popular in ski season, but now equally inviting. You move all the time through the green world of grass and rocks, admire rhododendron bushes and peek at mountains through other flowers, on summits gaze towards still snow-covered High Tauern. You stare into wonderful lake waters and admire its reflections, enjoy walking on the plateau world of Predigerstuhl and wonder how come you haven't heard of all these views nasmeh

. Descent past Bockhütte hut in shelter of many larches, where we stumbled upon a comfortable shortcut among them that quickly brought us to the start. No Slovenes met on the whole trail and none of our signs seen.

We hurried a bit because of the afternoon storms forecast, but we concluded it was worth returning here for sure. Next time maybe really when grasses still rest under the snow blanket and instead of in green admire the surrounding world in white nasmeh
