On Friday, snow and sun again. The mountain also provided a wonderful view. We climbed it from Pötschenpass Straße, because that side was drier and the path along Roten Graben climbs nicely in switchbacks to Sarsteinalm. It starts approx. 260m lower than the saddle at a large, free parking lot. Just before the last big right turn above Bad Goisern. The path was dry almost to the alpine pasture, then firm snow and beautiful vistas. From Hochkönig, Schafberg, Traunstein, G. Priel, Grimming, Hoher Dachstein, to the pointed G. Bischofsmütze. The Dachstein range shows itself most in all its whiteness. And of course the lakes in the valley, Altausee, Grundlsee and Hallstatt See. A summit that, despite its low elevation, enchants with views. Otherwise, it's about 1200 hm on this path.
