On Sunday, with PD Železniki, we visited the scenic grassy summit in the Nockberge national park group, in the west of the Karawanks Alps. We admired the surroundings the whole way, although we already donned raincoats before the summit, which didn't take away our mood, on the contrary, their colors additionally enlivened our views.
We admired towards the Western Julian Alps, Montaž and Viš shone the brightest, and also Razor, Prisojnik, Jalovec and Mangart drew our gazes.
We also admired the flowers, especially on the path to the summit, one particularly special, which unfortunately we couldn't identify the name of.
We were unanimous that the summit is worth a repeat visit.

On Saturday, 30.11.2019, on Mirnock. Conditions ideal: sunny and no wind. Snow cover starting around 1800m was quite hard and didn't sink much. Despite sunny weather and nice views there wasn't a single visitor on the mountain! They obviously got scared of the snow... nasmeh
Really nice tour also for winter days.

With Romana we went from Wiesen (between the two lakes) along a very steep former railway track, the path is marked and nicely leads to the alpine pasture, from there we went a bit around to the summit of Mirnock. From there towards north-east and in a big loop to the pasture and down the same steep path to the car.

Since it's winter time, we choose the southern approach to the summit. There's more snow in the valley than on the first meters of the ascent path. Then on the forest path some ice appears under the snow. Otherwise, on the clearings there's snow up to the knees. On the ridge, the base changes with a lot of snow. A bit aside windblown to bare ground. Nevertheless, it's possible to reach the summit nicely.
