We started the tour at the artificial lake a few km from Mayrhofen. The starting point was Schlegeisspeicher at 1782 m. We ascended to Olpererhütte, from where after a short break we headed to the mountain. Some time still on bare ground, then winter gear on us and in our hands and to the summit. The ridge was bare, so we took off the crampons and fun scrambling followed with some harder sections. Even so hard that we set up protection. Great views from the top, also to the Hintertux ski resort below us, where quite a few skiers were enjoying themselves. We descended the same path, used protection and at the hardest spot also "rappelled". Nice tour, rated AO and PD+.
