As far as I know, the rock in your pic is gneiss. It has high Si content. And in dewy mornings silicon dust (fine as silica gel) sparkles in the atmosphere and binds moisture.

Anyway, lest I forget the most important: super tour! Bravo guys! nasmeh

Ben

As far as I know, unlike lighter spots which are mainly quartz, darker spots have elevated Mg and Fe salts.

Excellent tour, on Saturday I was just a few valleys away on a peak with comparable altitude and difficulty: https://www.hribi.net/trenutnerazmere.asp?ita=1&gorovjeid=42&id=8747

If anything takes you westwards, I have planned soon an ascent on the great Stubai classic: https://www.alpenvereinaktiv.com/de/tour/wilder-freiger-wilder-paff-zuckerhuetl-von-der-nuernberger-huette/14528101/#dmdtab=oax-tab3

Best regards also to the Zillertal valley and pleasant holidays - this year due to fewer crowds vacation in Tyrol is just right.

Schrammacher? Sounds appealing. Haven't hiked in the Zillertal Alps yet (except part of the Tux Alps), maybe sometime.
Safe steps!
