As far as I know, the rock in your pic is gneiss. It has high Si content. And in dewy mornings silicon dust (fine as silica gel) sparkles in the atmosphere and binds moisture. Anyway, lest I forget the most important: super tour! Bravo guys!  LP, Ben

As far as I know, unlike lighter spots which are mainly quartz, darker spots have elevated Mg and Fe salts. LP, Ben

Schrammacher? Sounds appealing. Haven't hiked in the Zillertal Alps yet (except part of the Tux Alps), maybe sometime. Safe steps!
