We set off for the highest peak W.K.- Ellmauer Halt 2344m from Kufstein, into Kaisertal valley, past the Anton Karg H. hut and via the protected path Kaiserschuetzensteig, and reached it after 8 hours of ascent.
We returned towards Ellmau via Gamsaengersteig to Gruttenht. hut -1620m, where we overnighted. The next day we descended to Wochenbrunneralm pasture -1085m, where we had onward transport.
For a one-day ascent I recommend Ellmau, or the mentioned pasture.
