To make a fresher post, a few weeks ago we set off from Bad Kleinkirchheim towards the summit. Very interesting, not too steep path, some even along ski slope. Nice sunny day, so we roamed the beautiful meadows.

Yesterday before heading home the gondola took us also to Kaiserburg. From there we headed to Wollaner Nock and further to Vorderer Wn. Then descended to Geigerhütte but before it turned up to unnamed summit (Lichteben?) and along ridge back to gondola. From these grassy peaks around BKK wonderful views, Osojščica within reach, Triglav nicely visible. In a month black with blueberries. Watch out for cows, I fled from one despite (or because of) politely greeting it in Slovenian.

This time we visited Wollaner Nock via AAT.
Starting point in Arriach, we also passed the center of Koroška. Wonderful autumn day.

Hello! I was a bit surprised that there was no post for so long. On Wednesday -30.07.2025 Pondeljkovci - retirees section at PD Škofja Loka went to Austria on beautiful tour to Wollaner Nock mountain in Austria. This is home terrain of successful Austrian downhill skier. Twenty years ago my son and I even skied his downhill. With gondola we rode to the end of gondola lift. Not the cheapest. Then split into two groups. Snails and Rabbits. I was assistant with Snails. My goal was unfortunately only Wollaner Nock-2145m. On return at upper gondola station we climbed also 2055m Kaiserburg. Since I was last in group I could admire alpine flowers. We had a good time.

This was home terrain for the downhiller Franz Klamer and twenty years ago I even skied over his downhill ski course.2

From 15 to 20 February 2026, while skiing in Bad Kleinkirchheim, I admired the surrounding peaks and climbed to the cross on Kaiserburg, wonderful views under a blue sky. And the ski slopes are beautifully groomed. I'm also attaching a shorter video, best regards, Andrej Friedl
