From Saas Grund with gondola to Kreuzboden. After less than an hour of walking on a comfortable path we reached the Weissmieshütte hut, overnight stay.
Next morning on a dry path to Hohsaas, where the glacier starts. At the beginning there are quite a few crevasses that don't pose big problems. The path crosses part of the glacier, above which a serac collapsed a few days ago and leads to the ridge. A well-trodden track in fog and strong wind brings us to the summit. Here it cleared up and there was a lot to see. Descent via the ascent route in still good conditions, only the snow in the lower part of the glacier softened a bit.

Good, good! It kept me in suspense with all those glacier crevasses. Good thing I knew beforehand that it all ended well. Really nice!

Does anyone know if there's any water near the Almageller hut?
