Since we were already on a trek in Vanoise, some of us treated ourselves to a bit more...a bit more glacier-climbing atmosphere nasmeh

"Polset Dome" and "Polset Needle" are neighboring peaks, both around 3500m, to which you first need to cross the glacier. The dome summit is reached directly via the glacier, technically nothing demanding...of course given we're on a glacier. The needle is (yes, you can tell from the name) quite another thing. From afar it looks quite impossible, but up close climbing the rocky spur jutting over the glacier isn't so demanding, traverses are nice, rock compact enough. Views fantastic.
