Journey through the French Alps

At the beginning of June I'm heading for 10 days to Annecy(Fra), I plan to spend as active a vacation as possible with hikes to surrounding mountains under Mont Blanc and climbing some ferrata. Since there's little written about this area on Slovenian sites and not much in English either(most is in French), I'd be glad for any comment from mountaineers who've visited this part of the Alps. I've read interesting descriptions from viharnik, but I'd be glad if someone else knows some interesting paths or tours to share. Especially what would be a sin to miss Thanks

If you base yourself in the Val d'Isère area, you have tons of tours available in a 360° radius there. The town itself is very beautiful and mountainous. Paths are all well marked and maintained, just nowhere in fog, because plateau expanses under mountains are very extensive. Many or almost all high tours for solo hiker from north are off, because glaciers persist there all summer. Park rules must be exceptionally respected, as fines are high. Camping as accommodation is cheapest option there at 8€/day, otherwise hostel can be found which is somewhat full in summer season. Hospitable friendly people, don't forget their homemade bread, dry salamis and mountain cheese and visit of highest pass Col de l'Iseran 2770m with statue of Holy Mary.
