Mountain trekking in Crete

A few years ago I criticized the PZS forum and praised this one to the skies, now I see that I can't enter the commented trips, Greece isn't even on the list, let alone the mountain range I'd like to briefly describe. No big deal. If the admin finds it annoying here, let him move it.

Last summer my daughter and I treated ourselves to a week-long trekking in Crete. The main action was in the Levka Ori mountains, located in the western part of the island. On average, the mountains are about two hundred meters lower than our Kamnik Alps, since the highest Pachnes is as high as Kranjska Rinka 2453m. Almost all peaks are barren, sandy, dotted with clumps of very spiky but beautiful flowers. The weather served us, except for the heavy backpacks we carried all the time, the trip was on a high level. Every night we stayed somewhere else, we had Slovenian Barbara and a Greek as guides.
