From Rijeka to Mali Lošinj?

Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone has any advice regarding the expedition that my colleague and I set for this summer.
We want to go on a slightly longer path. Specifically, we want to set off from Rijeka to Mali Lošinj via Krk and Cres.
I'm interested if anyone who knows these areas better recommends any kind of path, advice regarding the time interval of kilometers walked in one day etc., what do you recommend regarding the weather (start at the beginning of August). I'm interested in anything related to experiences on longer tours.
