This Corona messed us up in all areas. Suddenly more time for everything, yet limited in work and other activities, sports included. The desire for excursions was probably much greater this year precisely because of that, than every spring. With my buddy we decide to circle Krk this year, because it's close and still unexplored. We wait for the Croats to relax the border and for a favorable weather forecast. His son joins him, for whom this is the first real paddling, and my neighbor, who already twice canceled at the last moment and whose New Year's resolution was to really join me this year. Short preparations follow, some tips for newbies, packing, and heading to the sea. Holiday declaration on the Croatian website goes without complications, and so does the border crossing. We plan to occasionally sleep in a camp too, to avoid possible problems when exiting Croatia. We park in Jadranovo, 5 meters from the sea, and after an hour of packing and good coffee follow the first paddle strokes towards the bridge. We chose the counterclockwise direction. For the whole route we needed four days of relaxed paddling. Due to newbies there were a bit more stops, swimming, coffees and snacks. My buddy and I figured that because of that the experience was more relaxed and nicer. Weather just right warm, some clouds and rain too, storms however bypassed us out of respect for the newbies. (If we had paddled alone, it would probably be like in a washing machine again, as quite severe storms with squalls were only a few km away.) Camps are currently quite empty, taverns even more. All kudos to the youngest (15 years), who is a sportsman at heart. In four days he wasn't bad-tempered even for a moment and steadily powered on, despite moderate wind and waves. The older newbie also proved himself and paddled excellently. More in the pictures.

cico, I'm not the youngest anymore either. Age is no barrier, pension is excellent opportunity due to time available. Savinja rules ! Thanks, I'll enjoy while health allows, because when I return from sea adventure home around 14 days nobody manages to upset me.....
