Macadam road towards Sv. Gera / after 800 m right turnoff to mountain hut Vodice / 45 min. Continue on the road to clearing and road junction. Left to Gera, right to Vodice. At that spot jump over the stream and shortcut the bend. After another two "shortcuts" take cart path, later trodden trail across Kaštanice meadows to barracks and antenna mast on summit. Renovated chapel Sv. Ilija. Good marking.

MOUNTAIN HUT VODICE
Mountain hut at Vodice (835 m) was built by mountaineering society «Dubovac» from Karlovac 1959-1961. It is located above the road on southern slopes of Pliješ (977 m), near a couple of springs. It has dining room, kitchen, three rooms and basement. Currently has 30 beds.
Hut is open every weekend and holiday from 01.04. to 30.09. during the year. In that period hut is supplied with food and drinks / simpler catering offer. Larger groups need to be announced in advance. Hut can be opened also outside scheduled times by arrangement with warden.

APPROACH TO MOUNTAIN HUT AT VODICE FROM SOŠICE
To Sošice goes bus «Samoborček» from Jastrebarsko Saturday departure from Jastrebarsko at 9:20 and 16:30
Sunday return from Sošice at 18:00.

From bus station in Sošice road across fairground and past well of upper village part continue road LEFT / right to Sopotski waterfall / to Sveta Gera and after about 300 m turn RIGHT to forest path (black pine plantation) climbing back to road which we take right, and after 50 m turn left to path, shortening road bend and reaching after 40 min. from Sošice road below mountain hut.
Hut is open every Saturday and Sunday and holiday in period from 01.04. to 30.09. in current year from 10:00 to 17:00.

Road from Sošice to top of Sveta Gera in very bad condition, hard to pass. Markings good. At chapel Drago sells cold beer and other drinks on Sunday.
