I'd like to go to a 4000er in Italy. Which is the easiest for us inexperienced mountaineers?

Breithorn 4165m above Zermatt has short access if you take the cable cars to the ski area below it. Otherwise even Šmarna gora doesn't guarantee a fully safe visit in winter if you don't judge the conditions on the path and use appropriate gear in time.

Breithorn, gondola from Zermatt to Klein Matterhorn, then two hours to top. Gran Paradiso nothing special, just last jump more demanding. Definitely hut overnight recommended for this peak, I think it's called Emanuele. cheers

Urarr I wasn't even thinking of 4000 m in winter months, but in summer These cable cars with gondolas I don't like at all, because it's raping nature When I go to the mountains I start hiking where I park the car not at 3800 m
