Anello-ring bivouacs Perugini, Marchi Granzotto and Caseruta dei pecoli

The beauty of these mountains gave me, years ago during the hike in the Montanaia valley, as well as later on the ascent to Monfalcon di Forni, the idea for this perfect circular tour. We started at the parking at 1163 m below the Pordenone hut and climbed up the Val Montanaia valley past the famous Campanile to the Montanaia notch at 2333 m. Followed a 430 m descent to the Val d'Arade valley, first on a nasty path then on solid scree; then ascent 400 m to the Monfalcon di Forni saddle. Up to here a mix of fog, clouds and high humidity accompanied us, so we enjoyed views of the ridge beauties and surroundings in short periods when the sun prevailed. Rio Mare party on meadows near the Marchi-Granzotto bivouac brought also the announced afternoon clearing and with it admiration of the walls of this amphitheater. Descent from here possible via Leone notch (repeated ascent for 120 mzavijanje z očmi), or just down the Monfalcon di Forni valley—our path yesterday—past barn Caseruta dei pecoli to Meluzzo valley. Down here devastation left by autumn storm visible everywhere. No path anymore (but markers and cairns), since in riverbed (width over 100 m) thousands of m³ of rocks. Let me add that access road to starting parking washed away in length over 1 km, but in all this debris they arranged new one; 6 EUR toll 12 km—price same at least 5 years.

Great! Bravo. Can you tell more how to get to this starting point - parking 1163 m below Pordenone hut and Val Montanaia valley.

Thanks for info.

Starting point is in Val Cimoliana; road 12 km long mostly asphalted and toll, last part even worse due to autumn landslide.
Branches off Maniago-Barcis-Longarone road at Cimolais. Starting point remote but didn't bother us, been there third timevelik nasmeh probably not last, plenty material to exploremežikanje

safe steps!
