Böse Nase (2227) and Gurglitzen (2352)

Both peaks in the High Tauern above Spittal are still nicely accessible these days via a partially snow-covered trail through pastures from the Christebauerhütte hut above Lendorf. The trail to Böse Nase (Naughty nose, Evil nose, Wicked nose – which translation is right?) is marked and partially snow-covered. Snow—where there is some, it's from a few cm to 20 cm—collapses to the base. From the saddle between the peaks the trail is no longer a nice trail, it's more a marked route that crosses the southern slopes. There is too little snow for ski touring, but enough for a slip on a snow-covered inclined granite slab or wet grass with a careless step. On the slopes of neighboring mountains (Hohe Leier 2774, Königsangerspitze 2639, Rosskopf 2573) there's more snow, I noticed traces of avalanches. Also mountains in the Kreuzeck group (Polinik, Salzkofel), and Goldeck too have more snow.

Thanks for translation, about pics: good models were there... and dad Picasa helped a bit to see better through mist.
