The via ferrata is not extreme due to technical difficulty, as it only reaches good C here and there and nothing more. It's extreme because of 1200 m elevation gain steeply overcome in the wall and abundance of sweaty oil flowing in streams on the sunny and extremely hot path to the summit big grin. Even end of October was no different, so our foreheads were dewy early in the morning. From morning dew of course rolling eyes.

The via ferrata runs mostly along natural passages and is in the impressive 1400 m high wall of Monte Casalija. Rock is limestone, not crumbly at all, views divine smile. Descent can be same as approach or via circular path.

Thanks for congratulations smile. Mountains near Lake Garda I got to know for the first time this time and certainly not the last. Close by, rocks similar to ours and something for everyone smile. If anyone needs info I'll gladly pass it on.
