This time we visited one of the most extensive groups in the Dolomites - Pale. Although the plans were "higher" we ended up content with a few lower peaks (the choice is of course varied). The road to San Martino di Castrozza is long and the time was approaching eleven when we arrived there. We decided for the closer Cima Rosetta. We can get there by cable car, halfway we switch to the gondola. It takes us to the saddle right under Cima Rosetta itself. Or we can go on foot from the valley. Cima Rosetta itself is just a couple of minutes from the saddle or upper cable car station. We descended back to the saddle and headed to the nearby hut Rif. Rosetta. A bit higher than at Kredarica altitude we treated ourselves to excellent cappuccino and draught beer. Real luxury After admiring the surrounding mountains we decided for the neighboring peak - Croda di Roda. The path to the summit is easy to follow, otherwise the target is always clearly visible. In the valley we waited for those who still tackled the ferrata. They ran out of time for the summit of Cima Vezzana. The summit was also wrapped in thick fog. As they said, the ferrata Bolver-Lugli itself is not so very difficult as the annoying return around the mountain. At the Passo Rolle saddle we caught the last sun rays illuminating the mighty peaks of the Pale group. Immediately we agreed - we'll come back here, but absolutely for more days.
