Col Becchei is an independent peak located near the more famous summits of the Fanes group. My partner and I neglected it for several years and first circled everything around it. Quite unfairly, as we realized only this year nasmeh

. The summit is a great vantage point and the view reaches far around. Despite the height it is easily accessible and given the well-trodden path also quite visited.

We parked at Capanna Alpina and headed on path 11 into the heart of Fanes. The path is really nice, the landscape beautiful and just the walk through the valley L’Grande Pian is an experience in itself. We've been here many times and enjoy it anew every time velik nasmeh

. The Dolomite high route Alta Via 1 also runs here.

Just before the lake Le de lLmo we turned right onto path 418. It first climbs steeply, then continues gently through the wide valley toward the summit. The markers are new and due to special placement visible from afar. Along the path there are also lots of curious marmots that brighten the day. So we arrived at the saddle below the summit gently and without special effort. Here the markers directed us left to the summit part, still on a comfortable path and soon we were at the goal. A short rest followed and the return.

Due to logistics we descended the same path. Here I should note that the continuation of path 418 is destroyed. The transverse path from the saddle below Col Becchei summit toward Cason d'Antruiles was indeed carried away by weather storms. The steep scree has deep furrows in several places, and the continuation wasn't visible from our summit. Also the direction signs at the saddle are removed, no markers for continuation anywhere. But the mentioned part of path 418 is still on all maps, so caution.
