So we set off again into the Rio Gravon di Gleris valley or the area above it, but this time to Creta dai Rusei, which is a kind of extension of the Gleris peaks, but more easily accessible . We chose the path towards the Vacca saddle or Forcella di Vacca, which from the junction with path 430 is no longer marked. But well traceable based on previous posts by Igor and turbot, also the pine branches trimmed. Otherwise above the forest line grassy-scree terrain. But the steepness is quite considerable, which levels out mainly only at the saddle, when a wonderful world opens up above the Aupa valley, all the way to San Simeone, Amariana, Pisimoni.
Our two peaks already appear at the viewpoints by the forest, and higher up they are constantly on the horizon. The world along the way is extremely beautiful, wild, quite uninhabited, lonely, so except above the steep part, we had nothing to complain about. Looking back, constantly on the horizon M.Pricot, Krn rocks, so peaks above the Mokrine.
We could have chosen the fully marked path to the Pecorino saddle, but since it wasn't chosen, we looked strongly towards it, so maybe next time there.
So, when we stepped onto Forcella Vacca, after the first views we descended a bit and thus stepped onto the cai 430 path, which encircles this whole area and headed towards the old military structure, where two benches were also placed, a place to admire all the beauty. But our path led further, descended a bit and at the signs turned steeply uphill, where it was already necessary to grab the rocks. Well, the path ahead was a bit adrenaline-inducing compared to expectations. A bit along the cut ridge, a bit on sliding scree, and also through a narrow chimney it takes us. But we were both very happy with the summit, how could we not, since we both stood on it for the first time. But since we were also looking towards the cross on the peak before it, we then headed up there from the benches, where there was more space for rest and lunch. We also spotted a golden eagle, and a bit lower down three chamois, which were too fast for photos.
We returned the same way, and did the tour analysis near the parking lot with an afternoon view of the beautiful Crete di Gleris.
To the parking lot 8 km from Tablja, less than 900 m of elevation, in short a path you can't regret.
