Time to say goodbye to Garda, and for the finale, a slightly lower peak came up on the way home where we hadn't hiked yet. That was Dos de la Cronela, which with its height didn't raise any special hopes for nice views, but that was a mistake. The summit is in the center of the former front line, where everything is full of forts, and a thematic path leads from one to the other. We didn't have time for a detailed look, but we were more than satisfied with what we saw . The start was in the village of Nago, which lies on a small plateau above Lake Garda. Here everything is full of olive groves, vineyards, and orchards, showing a mild climate even in winter. Path 601 led us through these plantations all the way to the turnaround point at Malga Casina pasture. In between is our peak, near Malga Zures pasture. Path 601 was built for supplying many military posts and is a real road in places. Overgrown and gnawed by Uncle Time in many places, but still thickly stone-paved in many places. We returned on another military link, this time with marks 601C and 601B. Other paths join them everywhere to former military positions. There are huge defensive trenches in the dark forest, which surely wasn't there 100 years ago. Many collapsed buildings show the importance of the area. Strategic spot, definitely. At Malga Zures, we joined the morning path and closed the loop. There is a memorial on this pasture for the memory and warning of WWI times. From there back on 601 to the start, the views were even better due to the sun than in the morning . Start coordinates (Nago): 45.8757319N, 10.8895811E
