Feldseekopf and Vorderer Geiselkopf

Today the tour to Geiselkopf was completely wintry. Snow started already soon above the parking lot. Fog persisted up to 2200m, then a day without clouds.
From the Hagener hut we continued along the summer path, a little below the summit ridge we descended into the valley due to snow on smooth rocks and continued along it to the saddle and then to the summit.
We returned along the same path and soon below the hut fell into fog again. It was another nice day above Mallnitz. Lp

Yesterday there was a super day without a cloud in the High Tauern above Mallnitz. By car first to the parking lot below Jamnig alm. On the access the barrier machine takes only coins (4 euros), before letting the driver through to the parking lot below Jamnig alm. Since I had no coins, I parked the car near the barrier in ambush and used the next 15 minutes for breakfast. Then the first car finally arrives! I immediately hit the gas and stick to an older Austrian's tail and through the barrier with the car behind him. velik nasmeh At the parking lot then of course first some laughter on this topic and start of the tour first towards the Hagener hut and then towards the mountain Vorderer Geisselkopf, 2974m. From the conditions the currently key information is that the summit was under hard frozen snow, so hikers turn around some good 5 minutes or 40m below the summit... The return was also nicely used for one more beer with the beautiful panorama and for a jump to the nearby Greilkopf.
