Bruno from Udine gave us the idea, with whom we met in Pesariis when we returned from Siera at the end of July. Starting point in the hamlet Culzei, then along the road closed to public traffic towards the Siera Pass. A little below the pass we turn right onto path 321, which leads to Creta Forata saddle, the path is not exactly a reflection of the tidiness of Italian paths, as it is quite overgrown, but it went okay anyway, more annoying was the fog that rolled under the southern slopes and blocked the sun. Well at the saddle the clear sky finally opened, and snow also appeared, which on the north side of the saddle was frozen and so the decision fell that our Creton will come another time. Over the saddle we descended into the idyllic valley below Creta Forata, then we climbed along the abandoned path (sometimes it was even marked) through sunny meadows to Rinsen saddle. Also here frozen snow prevented the plan to descend directly down to Siera Hut, so we returned to the valley and to the marked path 321, along which we went to Siera Hut, from there we went for some time along the newly arranged ski slope, then we found the cross path with mark 2 and joined path 318, later onto 316 along which we climbed to Siera Pass and thus circled the extremely interesting and bold Siere, and then descended along the road back to the starting point in Culzei hamlet. Of course the mountains above Sappada were in the sun all the time, some of our path sections were shady but it was nice anyway.
