Unlike Lake Sorapis, which has been constantly appearing lately on all possible Slovenian hiking forums and groups, Federa is much more neglected. Actually, I don't remember hearing this name before. But in terms of visitation, it doesn't lag much, if at all. Good thing we went up the least trafficked path nasmeh

The lake is very interesting and worth seeing. It's full of small islets – boulders sticking out above the water surface. And for its altitude, 2040m, very overgrown with aquatic vegetation. There's a path around the lake.

There's still one description on hribi.net, but (mostly) we didn't follow the description. Circular tour, start approx 2km after the road to Giau branches off from the road to Falzarego. At the beginning descent towards Cortina to Lake Ajal and then ascent up. Descent partly along the described path and back to the starting point.
