Any idea where above Vipava / Razdrtim I can solo climb some nice route (up to III) - in a few days I'll be around there on business, seems a shame not to use the opportunities!

Above Miklav there's quite a few like that. Check plezanje.net, select the crag and there is a good guide about routes above Miklav (St. Nicholas church).

Janez73, if I'm not mistaken, it's in the Pikapolonica sector in Vipava. The right one is 4, left (on the edge) 5a, maybe 5b. Haven't been there for a long time. Right of these two routes you have very short threes, left nice and easy slabs (but maybe not exactly for soloing) - from 5a up; I think none exceeds 6a. But as I said, haven't been there for a long time, so correct me if I wrote wrong.

Eee Primož, most up here don't want to argue with you cuz it makes no sense ☺ if you keep bugging someone how slow they are etc., they'll get fed up with everything related to that anyway! Well who am I to tell you, time will show you how it is!

thanks everyone for ideas - solo unfortunately doesn't go beyond 3 (once it went much higher  - because all colleagues are constantly busy, ferratas are nowadays often the only possible substitute)
