this is the MOELLTAL ski resort in Austrian Carinthia. the top of the ski resort, here at the cross, is I think SCHARECK (not sure if spelled correctly  ).
it was really a nice sunset.

Unfortunately no!
But we were with a colleague, with whom we were on Hafner - 26.9.2009 ( years ago on a four-day course in Austria )
- course on leading and moving on glaciers
So, I really like to visit some mountain in Austria!

This three-thousander is easily reachable. You can get there around 2200m or a bit more by train, then by gondola to 2800m, then another 300 vertical meters on the ski slope (behind the edge of course  ) and you're already at 3125m.
Of course it's a very nice tour if you go on foot from the lower gondola station (then total around 1000 vertical meters).

On Wed 10.12.14 Rok and I climbed on touring skis to Schareck summit 3122m via Molltaler ski area. Weather was perfect, quite cold at top  descent was EXCELLENT both off-piste and on-piste
