The mighty Disgrazia belongs to the Engadine Alps, more precisely to the Bernina group. The starting point for the ascent to the mountain is Preda Rosa at 1955m, which we reach from the Val Masino valley. In the afternoon, after a long drive past Milan, we climbed to the Cesare Ponti hut at 2559m, slept there and set off towards the summit early in the morning. Two teams ascended the glacier to the foot of the mountain, then climbed to the ridge, which was rocky, with snow patches and steep ascents on snowfields. We continued to the summit of the 3678m high mountain. The ascent itself requires quite good climbing skills (PD+ rating), but it provided really great pleasures. The views from the summit, where there's room only for a couple of people, were luxurious. We descended along the ascent route past the Cesare Ponti hut and after reaching the starting point continued to Sondrio from there to Campomoro, where we slept in the Zoia hut. The next goal was indeed Piz Bernina.
