The area around Lake Idro is quite new for us, though not completely without experience. Some time ago we discovered the very interesting ferrata Sasso there (here), and at the same time I spotted a nice ridge on the opposite side of the lake. It quickly landed on the wishlist and this year it came true nasmeh.

The highest peak of the ridge is Monte Paghera, followed by slightly lower Monte Canale and Dosso Sasselo. The ridge runs directly above the lake and is accordingly very scenic in many places. But it must be said that the central part is demanding, as it follows a poorly visible trail and over many rocky steps. Nothing special, but not for everyone. For the described loop, the best starting point is the village Anfo, for the reverse loop the village Pieve Vecchia. More in the photo story ...
