I'm interested in all details of the ascent to Monte Pramaggiore, including the starting point and access to the starting point.
Regards and thanks.

For friend julijus who knows a lot otherwise but this time can't find it served on a silver platter with almost all data here: http://www.pzs.si/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4435
In Italy on the motorway Videm (Udine-Tarvisio) Trbiž, exit Carnia, then to Tolmezzo and at the roundabout for Villa Santina (there I recommend cappuccino and croissant at Caffe Olimpico, soon after entering the settlement on the right side of the road), from Villa at the new roundabout direction Forni di Sopra or Passo Mauria. Tabacco map 02.

Nicer than the northern ones are the southern approaches - from the forgotten valleys Cimoliana or Settimana (access Videm - Maniago - Claut).
For example, from hut Pordenone in the head of Cimoliana valley past pastures Meluzzo and Brica to notch Forcella dell'Inferno, traverse to Passo del Mus, intermediate detour along the dizzying via ferrata to Torrione Comici and descent to the north side below pass Suola. Follows ascent up the broken gully to notch Sidon and via scree to Monte Pramaggiore. If you want to return to the starting point, choose descent through the romantic Postegae valley, or descend to the neighboring Settimana valley, of course if you have transport secured from there to the starting point. Or from Val Settimana return to starting point via Sentiero delle Bregoline, which is already a two-day tour.

This is probably partially written from memory, or by the method "finger on the map". There is no via ferrata leading to Forcella Sidon, as the author noted. However, it is incorrectly marked as such on the Tabacco map....
