To the starting point, which is the same as for Monte Tiniso, we drove through Ampezzo. A few turns below the Passo Pura pass (already beyond, above lake Sauris) we turned left and after 500m parked at a large parking lot. We started the hike on the Sentiero naturalistico Tiziana Weiss path (CAI 233) and climbed it to the saddle below Monte Tiniso. We continued with a short descent on the slopes above Forni di Sotto, then returned to the ridge and climbed it to Punto dell Uccel, the highest point of this path. We continued along the ridge for a while, then descended to the Forca di Montof saddle and left the Tiziana Weiss path there. On the left side of the ridge, quite a bit below it, we continued the hike towards the Brutto Passo summit and soon after reaching the fence on the ridge, spotted our goal right in front of us. Well, almost right in front, we had to scramble a bit more to get there. We could have gone straight up the ridge, but it was overgrown, so we climbed to the summit via a side ridgelet which we reached a bit further. Enjoyment on the summit was thorough, as the grass was soft, views divine, snack tasty and sun just warm enough. Descent to Forca di Montof went along the same path, from there we returned to the car via CAI 215 path. Great hike to a lesser known peak

True, Majda. Anyway we've gotten quite slower, her 15 years show not just in speed, but as long as she visibly enjoys the outing, we won't quit. You know with years not only for us familiar mountains get higher and already hiked paths longer and steeper

Bojan, we should add another hour or so to the signposts. Except for exceptions, same path applies to everyone.
