Starting point for the tour was on the plateau near Stavolo Pie della Valle. You can drive there from Sella Chianzutan, like we did, or from Pozzis or Preone. The road into Val Preone valley is very narrow from both directions, quite similar to the one from Učja to Resia. We climbed via CAI path 826 to Casere Teglara (permanently open unstaffed shelter) and from there through scree and rocks up a very steep slope to Monte Teglaro. The marked path doesn't go right to the summit, usually you climb to it from CAI 803 via the grassy eastern ridge. I don't recommend our route when wet, it's too steep. From there we continued along the ridge towards Monte Valcalda, where we hit the marks again just before the summit. From the top we went back a bit towards Teglara, then descended off-trail again to the casera and from there to the starting point. I didn't worry about the marks above casera Teglara because the terrain was clear and I could easily judge where it was safe enough to go up and down. But the slopes are very steep in places, so caution is in order. Wonderful tour in the prealpine world of the Carnic Alps.
