Monte Tribil, Monte Claupa, Monte Arvenis and Monte Tamai

On the first day of this year we did a great trip above the village Val di Lauco. The path led us over Monte Tribil, Monte Claupa and Monte Arvenis to Monte Tamai and of course back. No marked path leads to Tribil and Claupa, but they are easily accessible via more or less steep grasses with a short detour from the marked path; Arvenis and Tamai are marked. To the starting point drive from Villa Santina via Lauco; the last few kilometers the road is very narrow, winding and without railing on the side. Encounters with other vehicles can be a bit annoying, because there are few passing places. The path over the summits and around them is technically not demanding; some attention is needed on steep grasses and where the path is a bit more exposed. Where there was snow the path was trodden, in places hard and icy, but it was possible to step aside too, so we did not need crampons. Beautiful trip, it would be a sin to wish for a better start to the year
