Piccolo Belepeita cannot be confused with Monte Belepeit, which lies roughly below Plananizzo. No marked trail leads to the summit itself; it takes you high under the peak, then follow some technically undemanding pathless sections that are overgrown in places and require a sharp eye to follow the faint track.

I started in Villanova, hamlet right by Kljuže, to have less walking on the bike path at start and end. Best to go along the bike path to the start of hiking trail CAI 425 and ascend it to Stavolo Polizza. A bit further a less visible track CAI 425a branches left; follow it to the ruins of Stavolo Polizza di la, crossing Cuestis stream midway. Right behind the ruin the track forks; from there no more markers. First right, then steeply up, then left uphill to another junction where you go right to the summit. Straight on the more pronounced track would lead to Stavolo Belepeit. Note that both tracks, the one behind Polizza di la ruins and the one higher up, are poorly visible; no cairns at junctions, at least I saw none. Higher I missed the last turnoff to the summit and crossed too far below it, so had to backtrack a bit. At the right spot I pushed through scrub to the summit slope and there only a short way to the wooden cross on top. Splendid. Descent on the other side; with map help I followed almost invisible track (tall grass) to junction with CAI 425 (wooden sign on tree; marks continue, of course). To the stream, refresh there; across soon hit the path leading left up to Plananizzo and right down to Kljuže. To the valley it dragged a bit, especially the part above highway as traffic noise is heard high on slope.
