Yesterday we headed to the hut in a completely idyllic winter landscape. As soon as we got out of the car, it was freezing cold, foggy, windy, not inviting at all..... But as soon as we started along the military mule track, path 146, the weather conditions improved significantly. We left the low fogs, the sun gained strength and warmed us more and more, and the snowy landscape sparkled. There was about 20 to 30 cm of snow, occasionally more and it sank under us. It was trodden to the junction for Creta di Collina, but even after that we had no major problems. A nice rocky passage is there, after which you descend slightly and then continue the path to the forest road, which leads you to the hut. At the hut there were some visitors who came from the opposite side too. Here we stayed for a while and looked at all the peaks that clearly appeared on the horizon. Visibility was great yesterday. We returned first along the forest road, then turned left onto the trail, which brought us to the pass in twenty minutes. Here we also climbed to the abandoned barracks and looked at the old Roman inscriptions on the rock from the third century. At the car we found ourselves again in fog and cold, so we quickly packed up and drove home.
