Well, I don't know how it is if you hit the jackpot, but there were five free days, five days of good weather, then this tour... more than a jackpot lumped together During the descent from Breznjak (Monte Brizzia), last time I was thinking about this path, but that I'd check it off so soon, no, not even in dreams, and yes… cold morning and since we decided to "squeeze" into one car, we warmed up quickly, at least us on the back "bench" . We drive to Tablja (Pontebbo), park at the destination so there are no unnecessary steps on descent, and we really treated ourselves well. A little searching among the streets , then along Deposito street directly past the blue "tin house", where a hoarse puppy barks at us, then the whole day we spend alone, with our thoughts. The path quickly shows its wild charms, its airiness, steep grasses, wild gullies and with a little gulp I expect what follows, but the passages are incredible, the transverse path all the way to the contact with the streambed, incredible despite steep terrain, narrow but secured, a bit unnerves you with extra leaves or a bottomless slide, but concentration doesn't slack, as the depths of Vogel attract nothing. The gaze on the path slips ahead, where the outline of a huge landslide already appears, but until you are there, you don't even suspect its extent. From the traverse we "flew" to the water and if the path were easier, I believe a summer crowd, as the streambed completely enchants you with pools, boulders and the ambience overall. To avoid falls, apparently one in the group really likes to unintentionally soak his feet , "mama A." found a really excellent crossing, rocks dry, held like "super glue", a bit higher we repeated the exercise and all crossed the streambed dry. From here you can already see what follows, and since the predecessor's description said maybe better left (thanks "bagi" ) and since the right scree didn't appeal to me at all, I stuck to that "maybe" without hesitation and yes, I recommend the left gully, which really looks ugly but you almost stroll across it compared to the right scree, then you run into the marking and cairn. The price of the left is that you exit muddy, but that's nothing compared to the rest of the team who really slogged through the scree, so they turned back and came via left to the top. But when I exited the debris, the throat screamed out loud , it didn't quite know that it wasn't the end yet , the rest experienced incredible sensations upon looking at the surroundings, I had the feeling as if I were on Mars. Towers above the slide, scattered boulders and you feel that everything under and above you is still alive. We had the opportunity to see a smaller landslide, which is probably routine here. A deserved snack followed and soon we all gathered and shared impressions. Continued in zigzags, a bit along markings, a bit our own way, then the path led us to a junction (right Mokrine) and newly fallen snow awaited us, but it went without problems, great help of course the new renovated cables, as without them, I don't know how. From great enthusiasm because we had completed the path, we almost missed the turnoff to the first summit, unmarked but well visible and followable Bruka (Monte Bruca, supposedly has three peaks, though when searching my memory, only this one looked reachable ). Another deserved one, of course, snack and viewing around, yes the weather served us well. But time was ticking, the day is still quite short and since my roommate and I had both already been to Breznjak (Monte Brizzia) we headed down path 501 to the valley, the guys made a detour, we were at least half an hour ahead with one peak . Descent to Tablje without incident and even though it wasn't long ago that I walked here, the path doesn't disappoint. Hmm, what to say when so much has already been written… I'm enchanted by the path, steep narrow traverses allow no mistakes and with that awareness the path is strenuous and demanding, meanwhile the views of bold gullies, precipices, wild world and solitude give that extra something. Our "flock" deserves praise, as the Idrija team with just one Styrian is really successful, hehehe and our energy on such paths is really great and simultaneously acts as silent encouragement when the head wants to play tricks and gulp becomes lump I would also like to praise the CAI Pontebba team that maintains this path (and of course the other paths) which we can walk and experience, as otherwise they would probably remain hidden and difficult to reach, or even unreachable... all praise for persistent work!!!
