Not every day is a holiday. But vacations certainly are, especially if you can hop from the bed onto the gondola (from 27.6. to 27.9. operates between 8.30 and 17.30), which takes you to Piz Sorega (round trip ticket Sept. 2020 = 15.70 EUR), from where you set off through easy plateau terrain to the foot of Setsas, where grass slowly gives way to rocky terrain. The path continues along the slope 'dotted' with larger and smaller boulders and when you reach the highest point, you stand on an excellent viewpoint.
The path is neither difficult nor exposed, the pleasure at the top though ... what can we say. nasmeh

From Tofane, Antelao, Civetta, Marmolada, Piz Boè, Lavarella, Conturines and other three-thousanders. Of course, those missing more or fewer meters to that prestigious title don't lack either, but they're no less inviting.

We parked at Valparola pass by the WW1 museum, a bit higher than the same-named hut. Parking is not allowed there, even though the initial signs are right at it. The plan was to first climb to the top, then circle most of the massif. That's what we did. We had no problems following the path. Overall it's well-trodden and marked, on some sections quite muddy. The summit is a great viewpoint and it rewards all the effort nasmeh
