On Velika Šmaren, then visiting friends in Resia. In the morning it was still raining and thundering in the Kanin range, later a wonderful not too hot day. First along the Ta lipa path, then to Ravanca for mass, then some Resian treats: calčuni - Resian gnocchi, polenta with cheese, polenta with sausages etc. Return to Solbica, Knife Sharpeners' Museum visit, walk to Belvedere and around the village, wonderful day passed quickly. Just right after the efforts of the last two weeks. On the return, a stop in Ukvah, ice cream, cheese and salami shopping, in a few days to new challenges. Regards!

"The one who goes to Resia once, will go again", would be the best start of this writing. The purpose was completely different, but due to recent experience, instead of ridge walking I rather enjoyed strolling paths and wondered that in beautiful pine groves there are no blueberries at all.
Morning was nice and so the first path led from Oseacco/Osoanë to pasture Provalo/Ta-na Parwalë, from which there is an excellent view to Kanin group in the east, Çuc dal Bôra group in northwest and Lopič/Monte Plauris in the west. (pics: 1-7) On return before deserved coffee the decision was made that there was too little movement and Ta Lipa Pot followed - unique and picturesque. (pics: 8-11) Among abundance of paths offered by Resia, Sentiero del Gusto was chosen too (pics: 12-15), then still… Well, that's another story that happened around Pušje vas/Venzone.

Paths are easy and normally passable. Paths not under CAI are not all well marked.

Roof of bivouac I. Crasso is under renovation. On CAI path no. 642 from pasture Kot to pasture Kanin and further to Korito, there are still fallen trees, but passable. Bivouac should be fixed before winter. When they will repair the path, they didn't know.

On Saturday (7.10.) we walked the Resian "Ta lipa pot". It is really beautiful. What beautiful, wonderful. And so scenic that we didn't regret at all spending a great autumn day in the valley. At the end we also turned to the Knife Sharpeners Museum, which is also worth seeing. More impressions from the path and more photos on the link:

Today we went on Ta lipa path. Over numerous streams, with views to Muzce and mountains towards approach to Kanin. Nice!

Well, what is it called when you go back to the same valley after three days? Probably something that pulls you there nasmeh

The path was beautiful, even though part of the circular path was in shade and slippery on bridges due to wetness. But the views were all sunny, and of course Solbica and the mountains above it were sunny too.
Since we wanted to see as much beauty as possible, on the return we drove towards the saddle Karnica, stopped at St. Ana, admired the view at Stola Gnivizza and drove on a quite narrow but maintained road through Učja to Bovec and further over Predel to home. All along the road we could admire views opening after every bend, each time something new, even more beautiful nasmeh

down there it was sunny, otherwise this path section is in shade in the morning

one had to tread very carefully over this bridge, it was slippery

it's worth it to the fortress at Predel, beautiful views open up

Resia is often suitable throughout the whole winter for such or other outings. I warmly recommend this hill(ock), from which the whole valley is visible.

Ćalčüni are "to die for" and although they are an appetizer, the portion is such that it fills you well. Besides, of course, a quarter of red, if two.

And DON'T forget, in Solbica at Christmas time there is a live nativity and descent of the comet star from Pusti Gost. Beautiful to cry. First they release the comet star from Pusti Gost to Solbica as it gets dark, then go with torches (flashlights) above the village and locals in Resian language act out the Christmas story live. Every house in Solbica has its own nativity in front of the door. Gorgeous, insanely beautiful experience:
