Torrione Comici-Ferrata Cassiopea

I have seen it years ago and quite liked it. Today, in a beautiful, crystal-clear morning, with my buddy we started hiking below the village Andrazza (Forni di Sopra), and on an easy path to the hut Flaiban Pacherini in the Val di Suola valley. From the hut we turned right onto the path leading to Passo del Mus, slightly steeper but good and well marked. From the pass we went a few minutes left and were already at the start of the nice ferrata. There we geared up and stepped into the wall. Despite the shady side, climbing soon warmed us; cables are loose, so we need to seek holds and footholds too, otherwise quite an airy thing. From the top a nice view of nearby and distant mountains, all from the High Tauern to the Dolomites and our Julians, even the sea was visible. From the top we descended via the descent ferrata, which is much easier; in the lower part they merge. Since plenty of the day was left and the day gorgeous, we didn't want to go to the valley and went further. Continuation follows.
Torrione Comici-Ferrata Cassiopea Val di Suola is an exceptionally picturesque valley with a nice path.1

Since we were accommodated in the Pordenone hut, we also started the second day at Pian Meluzzo and via Val Postegae walked about 3/4 hour the same path as the day before. Continuation via Val di Guerra and Val d'Inferno mostly in nice sparse forest. The sun fully shone on us only just below the Passo del Mus pass. I had already seen the Torrione Comici tower from two sides, this time the plan was also from the top. The ferrata itself is not overly long but quite demanding, in my opinion forced route, fewer holds than elsewhere. Most annoying are the loose cables. After descent we extended to loop tour to Forcello d'Inferno and via Forcella Brica down to Valmenon pasture. Still no internet and electricitynasmeh, the dog let itself be petted and already soft path led us down past Caserute dei Pecoli to the stream. Path here gone as mostly washed away, walk on wide screes to junction with morning path.nasmeh
