This hut is located high under the three-thousanders of the Ötztal Alps in South Tyrol in Italy. We drive through the Karawanks Tunnel to Austria and then to Italy to South Tyrol over Jaufenpass to the pleasant large tourist settlement Pfelders -1628m. From the settlement we set off on path 6A towards this high mountain hut via the pasture Scneid Alm-2159m. The path will take a full four hours. In between we overcome even a secured section with chains. The hut is the starting point for the three-thousander Hinterer Seekofel-3489m. The path is pleasantly laid out - on many sections there are stone steps. We cross even some very watery springs that form magnificent waterfalls. We step over large stones.
