From Bergamo we flew to Rovaniemi, where we picked up a car and set off on a 1,100 km exploration of Finnish Lapland. 🌄🌲
During this time we changed three apartments and stayed in Rovaniemi, Äkäslompolo and Pyhä. Our northernmost stop was Muonio, right on the Swedish border, and the southernmost was Ranua. We visited two national parks, Pallas-Yllästunturi and Pyhä-Luosto. 👌👍
The weather was quite kind to us! 🌤️ We only had some rain in Rovaniemi, and for watching the northern lights we had as many as seven clear nights. Temperatures rose to a pleasant 12 °C, while the coldest was the last morning before heading home, when we were greeted with –8 °C. 🥶✨
We saw and experienced everything we wanted, and we will probably return here to the north again someday. 🇫🇮🩵
