Hi. Not completely a hiking action, but since I've spotted similar ones, I dare to attach my post.nasmeh On Tuesday I participated in the cycling ascent to Mt. Evans (Colorado). This is the highest paved road in North America. Start in Idaho Springs, elevation 2300m, ascent length 27.6 miles to parking at 4306m. Mt. Evans Once there was an observatory, but weather conditions destroyed it nonstop and they stopped maintaining it, similarly weather conditions destroy the road, but they repair it.22
Mt. Evans Descent from Echo Lake is a pleasure, 13 miles of wide road with excellent asphalt.23
