From PD Škofja Loka I went on a trip to Romania. We conquered four of their peaks, which I will present in order. First up is Pietrosu -2303m. We entered Romania from Hungary -stayed overnight in the center of Erdélyi Hungarians (there are 2 million in Romania)-Cluj (Cluj-Napoca). Romania is divided into several regions. The central part is Transylvania and Cluj is there. Then we drove to the town Borsa, which is near Ukraine -that's already the Maramures region. Nearby is the peak Pietrosu. It will take us four hours to hike to it. Under the mountain is a wonderful lake with a meteorological station. There is no mountain hut here. The starting point is a magnificent women's monastery. From the monastery onwards it's actually the natural reserve of Rodnei mountains (Parcul National Muntii Rodnei).
