18th hike along the Jurčič Trail

Today, on 05.03.2011 the hikers and female hikers of PD Mislinja and Slovenj Gradec set off on the already 18th hike along the Jurčič Trail, from Višnja Gora to Muljava (15 km, 3 hours walking). The trail led us through idyllic Dolenjska villages Pristava, Zavrtače, Polževo, Male Vrhe, Kravjek and Oslica. The trail is not demanding, the majority of the trail is flat, only at the beginning the trail gradually ascends. The highest point of the trail is at the little church of the Holy Spirit (630 m) above Polževo.
We weren't treated to sun this year, but the winter idyll was perfect nevertheless, as a good part of the trail was covered with 10-20 cm thick snow blanket, however the closer we got to Muljava the less snow there was.

Nice, nice, there was a very large attendance, despite not so nice weather, I think we were well over 1000 as people were crowding

Today, on 03.03.2012, hikers from PD Mislinja and PD Slovenj Gradec (we filled 2 buses) went on the already 19th, almost jubilee hike along the Jurčič Trail, from Višnja Gora to Muljava (15 km, 3 hours walk). The path led us through idyllic Dolenjska villages Pristava, Zavrtače, Polževo, Male Vrhe, Kravjek and Oslica. The path is not demanding, most of it is flat, only at the beginning it gently ascends. The highest point is at the church of the Holy Spirit (630 m) above Polževo.
No trace of winter idyll this year, snow was visible only in shady areas. So this year's hike was more spring-like than winter, as the first harbingers of spring have already peeked out: snowdrops, winter aconites and of course hellebores. This year's, almost jubilee hike was attended by 8000 hikers.

Quite a numerical attendance, maybe next year we'll be there with our group.
