Across the Lower Bohinj Mountains

Today I fulfilled another mountain-running wish - to trail-run across the Lower Bohinj Mountains.
I started at the parking lot under Vogel. Then I ran first 3 km to Savica and onwards to Komna. The peak I ran last time I bypassed and my first summit was Rušnati vrh. Then continuously traversed - Vogel- Rodica- Črna prst (to here 5 h 44 min). Forgot the map in the car so I missed the trail and instead of to Polje village descended to Bohinjska Bistrica. So at the end another around 10 km run on the road back to the car. Reward was first-of-October swimming in the lake.
All together ran 8 h 30 min. Walked only a few steps in steep climbs, rest ran without trouble.
Wonderful mountain run: recommend.

Phenomenal, my dear boy, spare your legs and ankles a bit. Even slowly you get far, I know from experience. Otherwise it's a straight five. Bravo!

hey super... we exchanged a couple sentences at Rodica...won't ask how your legs hurt today, cuz mine do a lot, and I just walked the path in opposite direction, from Bohinjska Bistrica, via Orožnova hut, Črna Prst, Rodica to chairlifts at Orlove Glave corner. pure walking 6.5 hrs, with breaks
8.5 hrs...plus 10 min walk, but those were the worst, from bus stop in Bistrica to parking at Letoviška street
p.s.. I too only heard and saw helicopter low flyover ridge, but some Croats who were near the accident told me it looked really scary. also showed me exact spot under Šija where it happened. wouldn't say it's dangerous at all, totally normal, wide enough path... So as I told you at Rodica, with caution. And lots more runs....

@ Velkavrh: I can really thank my ankles for carrying me without issues
@ bo zl: congrats to you too for long tour. Though to me personally nowhere seemed very exposed. But I believe it's different if wet.
