10/4/2021 - Logarska Dolina, Okrešelj, Turski gully, Mala-Koroška-Kranjska-Štajerska Rinka and Turska Gora
Park at hikers' hut, further on closed. Don't know why closed, road super, dry, new asphalt, plenty free parking. Only on return one car parked at upper lot, might fly. My humble opinion is that it's stupidity, something like (was) in Kamniška Bistrica. Probably not financed by some private guy, judging by public signs.
Towards waterfall base turns to hard snow and quickly slide forward towards Okrešelj. Higher up plenty of snow, meet some skiers carrying skis on backpacks. Past GRS shelter with poles, higher to gully already put on helmets, crampons and ice axes. Base few cm soft on hard, some steps made, so through gully super. Meet some freestyle hikers too, winner of day ahead of us in crampons without helmet or ice axe first climbed to top of gully, then descended. Wish everyone at least that luck in mountains.
Wind forecasted but not felt in gully. See above us opening and closing - change every minute. It'll be ok, we spend lots on gear - when to use it. At top turn towards Rinke. Never been there so first didn't know which is which and had to check map a bit. Got to Mala, where apparently high enough no more fog, just windy. On one Rinka more people, two skiers just starting and head there. On map realize we're on Koroška. Little photos, views and proceed to Kranjska Rinka. Path super hard, steps well made so quickly proceed. From there descend to Štajerska Rinka which is the only bare one. Then over Mala back to Turski gully. Wind brings fog and so join two skiers heading to Turska Gora (because it's there), where visibility still always 0 so quickly turn back to gully where some shelter. In all invisibility clear view on Mrzla Gora.
Super tour, weather didn't spoil enjoyment at all. And must admit (if weather allows) one of most scenic tours: Planjava, Kamniško sedlo, Mrzla Gora, Brana, Turska, Rinke, Skuta, Štruca, Ledine, Ledinski Vrh, Velika Baba... and more. Only Julijci hidden.
