Today a circular one just before night - along Paola Santonina's path from Poljčane. Start before the railway station and return from Studenice along the newly emerging path between Studenice and Podboč settlement right above the Dravinja riverbed...After decades, the Studenice - Podboč path has been pulled from oblivion and maybe I'll write more about it sometime in the future . Today with a mountain bike but in winter it will also be nice to hike...

Today from Poljčane to Ljubično settlement and then along the so-called Paolo Santonino Path via Zgornje Poljčane, Podbočje, Pritensko to Studenice. On the return from Studenice along the new connection between Studenice and Podboč also short sections on meadow paths along the riverbed to the outlets of Bela stream on the right bank of Dravinja and Brežnica stream on the left bank of Dravinja. Along Bela stream I rode the last hundred meters below the center of Zgornje Poljčane or the cemetery, while along Brežnica stream the last hundred meters below the primary school in Poljčane. Both outlets are about fifty meters apart and represent, during heavier rains and flood waves on Dravinja, a distinct flooding area of the Dravinja flood river.
Both streams roughly mark the world of Boč and Dravinja Hills in the Poljčane area. I also rode across or crossed the Ličenec tributary west of Poljčane near Lušečka vas, which is a left tributary of Dravinja, and the Studeniški or Topli stream in Studenice east of Poljčane, which is a right tributary of Dravinja and an important water collector from the Boč area above Studenice...All four major tributaries in the Poljčane municipality area form a complete system and are junctions of numerous paths and also the basis of settlement and economic use of the wider area around Poljčane...Conditions for riding and path conditions appropriate for the season - partly foggy with light dew, no wind, seven degrees Celsius and mostly dry paths...Excellent, shorter but still varied route for training when there's no time during the week for higher up to Boč or to the Dravinja Hills world...

The path is now officially named Dravinja cycling path...I rode part of the path for a change - an even more concrete variant right along the Dravinja riverbed not far from the official one....on meadow paths...
