Yesterday - 9.10. I set off from the parking lot at the sawmill in Jezersko valley towards Viška planina, Corsi hut and further towards Viš. I followed path 627, which under the wall of Divja koza leads to the foot of the gully descending from Trbiška škrbina. At the start of the entry into the wall there is a plaque that marks the beginning of the climbing path A.Goitan. The path crosses the walls of Divja koza and several gullies, ascends and descends. It runs along ledges and gullies of Mala špica, Turna, Gamsove matere. Protections (cables and pegs) are in very good condition. It joins the usual path to Viš, from there it's a good half hour walk to the summit, which never really excites me . At the summit, where there were only six of us altogether, there was a short break, then descent to the junction towards Mojzesova škrbina and Škrbina zadnje špranje, above which rises an impressive natural creation that strongly resembles Moses. I continued along the slope of Koštrunove špice, which are full of war remnants, crossed them and upon arriving above Škrbina prednje špranje I was amazed at the sight of winter remains - a quite substantial tongue of last year's snow. From Škrbina I continued to Viška planina and back to the start. Long but beautiful tour.

Yesterday the path took us again to the Western Julijci, where we headed via Viška planina to Škrbina prednje špranje and turned right, steeply up under Koštrunove špice, via Škrbina zadnje špranje and along Anita Goitan path to Viš. Then we descend and continue along Anita Goitan path, which further runs along the ledges of Gamsova matere. Here the nicest and also very demanding part really begins. The path is well protected, but still demanding with numerous adrenaline passages, ascents and descents along the cable or even without. When we start ascending from the škrbina towards Mala špica, the path splits into an easier northern and southern one, which continues over a steep chimney. The easier northern one was already quite covered with snow and looked quite dangerous. We decide for the harder southern direction. This chimney turns out to be the hardest detail of the entire traverse. The chimney is very narrow, vertical and fairly smooth. Some proud owner of a slightly more endowed behind might have considerable trouble to trick the chimney to let her through. Quite some sighing, straining and moaning was needed for all of us to scramble through it, each in their own way. Also on the southern side of Divja koza there are still quite a few difficult and exposed spots. Also the descent under Divja koza, which is mainly climbing, requires a good dose of caution. In terms of difficulty, it would be hard to compare any marked path from our mountains to this one, as the exposed part is in my opinion quite a bit harder than Kopiščarjeva on Prisank and the climbing part also harder than that on Mrzla gora. The most killer part of the tour was the concrete road leading to Viška planina, which especially on the way back to the start dragged on like twisted intestines. Definitely a very nice, long and varied path that suited us all perfectly and fulfilled and even exceeded all our expectations.

From Viška planina there is also an unpaved path down to the valley, but I haven't checked it yet.

The path is especially overgrown in the lower part, at one of the bends it's marked with a cairn, but it's already quite overgrown, it leads to the valley a bit off from the parking lot. You don't gain much with this path.

I used the path that mostly avoids the road on descent from Viš, but that was quite a few years ago. I remember it branched off the road soon below the planina and was already poorly trodden then. Below it ended on an overgrown plain immediately to the left of the bridge; from there it was still about 2km trudging on asphalt to the parking at the confluence of B. stream and Trince. Recently on a repeat ascent (this time by road) I looked a bit where the branch down is, but couldn't spot it anymore. Years have done their thing, the road is now concreted and probably no one uses that path anymore.
