Just a few more summer memories or an idea for next year's vacation. This part of the Apennines is really beautiful, the ascent to the highest peak Corno Grande or Gran Sasso 2912 m is not some special feat. Start from Campo Imperatore at about 2100 m. The whole path takes 6 hours, the Via Normale route is easy, just in the last part you have to grope a bit on some rocks. At the top, good company: two little Slovenians, one Japanese woman, and three Italians. We immediately exchanged food and "disinfectants". The entire landscape, villages, and people are a solid five. Really worth a visit. Saša
